Julie has been a fantastic weight loss coach! In the year I have been working with her I have lost 37 pounds. I have achieved steady losses in both weight and inches. Thanks, Julie for providing me with the knowledge and encouragement to achieve my weight loss and fitness goals. The information from the metabolic rate test and the exercise test allowed me to adjust my workouts to provide maximum fat burn. Surprisingly the level of exercise was a lot less intense than I had been doing but provided significant weight loss. Additionally, the information on nutrition and your encouragement during periodic visits were as important as the exercise in achieving my goals. Once you understand your metabolic rate, exercise levels, and nutrition it is simple math to develop your plan for weight loss as well as weight maintenance.
I started with a goal of losing 35 pounds and have actually lost about 40 and maintained this level for several months. Another benefit of this program is that when you have those occasions that you over eat or don’t exercise, you have the knowledge and tools to take the necessary action so you don’t slip back to the old you.
Julie, thanks again for the support of you and your staff in guiding me through this program. I have recommended this to friends and would encourage anyone wanting to take control of their weight and fitness to sign up and take advantage of this program.

The Roger Grua Story
 
I am a 62 year old dentist who has been struggling with weight problems for a number of years. In June of 2006 I began the weight loss and physical training program with Julie Knighton. I have been impressed with the science behind this program for it is based on sound principles. There are no gimmicks or fad diets. It is based on proper exercise and good nutritional principles.
Julie began with an assessment of my current condition. She used a form of a stress test on a treadmill and a computer program which helped determine my best exercise level and heart rate for optimum fat burning.
After Julie’s initial assessment, she developed a customized exercise and diet plan for me. It required increased physical activity and decreased caloric intake. Progress was a little slow at first but I did begin losing weight. I then decided to further increase the amount of walking I did each day. I was wearing a pedometer and was amazed that in my normal routine I was only getting about 4000 steps a day. I committed to walking at least 10,000 steps every day. I stopped "grazing" at the office too. All those handfuls of pretzels added up to hundreds of calories a day. The weight really started coming off faster then! After about five months I had lost 55 pounds.
Positive feedback started coming from many sources. My office staff wanted to know what I was doing. Friends and neighbors were making comments; "What are you doing? What diet are you on?" It was a pleasant dilemma. I even had to buy new clothes ( I lost 10 inches off my waist). I tell people I am on the "eat less, exercise more diet." What a terrific thing this has been in my life. It feels so good to be thin again.
I must say, without any reservation, that one of the things that makes this program work is Julie’s regular and continual support and encouragement. She and her staff followed my progress very carefully at regular intervals. I believe that this caring and concern is one of the keys to my success.
Since the initial weight loss, I have been able to maintain my weight fairly well. I still walk more than 10,000 steps every day which is over 4 million per year. I can even jog now without knee pain. My biggest fear is that those lost pounds would return. I continue to see Julie every four to six weeks for a weigh in and checkup. If I have gained a few pounds she has my full permission to “whip me back into shape.”
I cannot thank Julie enough for the difference she has made in my life. Her continual support and encouragement has been wonderful. She is very supportive and can be harder on me if I need it. I don’t ever want to go back to being heavier. I know that the continual monitoring and support is a big part of maintaining my weight where it should be.
I highly recommend this weight loss and physical training program. It has made such a huge difference in my life. I cannot thank Julie enough for all that she has done. I hope this helps someone else enjoy the benefits that I have obtained!
